There are a number of points in ‘Chemistry Landscape’ which need thinking through a bit more. For example in ‘3.6 World-Class Undergraduate Teaching’ part d, it advises us to ‘pool teaching resources by sharing equipment and laboratory space’. It is suggesting that, instead of carrying out an organic preparation in the first year undergraduate lab, you could do it do it in one of the physics teaching labs. What a load of hastily-put-together rubbish!

And also from the same bullet point (part d), what does it mean by, ‘providing research experiences for students and lecturers from institutions focussed on teaching’? I’m not disagreeing with this, I just don’t understand what it means!
