New 'how to read a journal article' guide

With so many resources it can sometimes be hard to know what we have, so our featured resource helps highlight resources useful to you from the Higher Education Learn Chemistry site.

Our new 'how to read a journal article' guide is our current resource highlight. The guide was designed to help students read and understand journal articles. It covers three key areas; firstly how journal articles are structured and where to find specific content, what peer review is and why it is important, and lastly why and how to critique articles.

reading journals can seem challenging at first it's worth learning how to read them. It’s a skill that will come in handy whether you're writing up laboratory reports, literature reviews or project dissertations.
