Yes agree with your viewpoints
expressed and people need to be well informed by
choices that are available to them by way of courses.
The RSC can and does play a big
part in this by way of webinars and public lectures and my Mgmt
Group does a lot in this respect.
My own view is that
some people see subjects like Chemistry as dirty and smelly but
don't see the positives of what come out of knowledge and appliance
of science in the real world!
Take the Vaccine for Covid as an
apt example!
Look how its been applied
and saving lives!
Art and Science can work
together, look at conservation of old masterpieces using chemicals
to restore them to their former glory, especially when they have
been damaged by either pollution of criminal activity!
I also know that friends
kids who have pursued STEM careers have prospered
more than those in the arts or humanities!
