Ammonium Chloride

Hello C Chile's, i know that according to Newth 1903 ammonium chloride in combination with potash or slaked lime ,calcium chloride and water and ammonia is formed. It may be  that in using potash ,a means of cleaning is to use ammonium chloride. Interestingly coal has ~2% of nitrogen and  on heating produces ammonia. Giving the 'ammoniacal liquid' found in gas works. I hope that helps.
