It really isn't just because it is Friday afternoon, and I've only just remembered to blog but this article on the Guardian website contains lots of really helpful information about getting into graduate schemes.

Remember you don't have to be straight out of university to apply and my favourite tip ........... make sure you tell the organisation why you want to work for them!  Make sure you demonstrate enthusiasm for the organisation and the scheme.

As per usual I've been trawling the internet for some inspiration on what to blog on this week, that is interesting, helpful and not something I've written about already.

One of the key things recruiters look for is previous experience in that role or a similar role, but we all know it isn't always easy to conjure up some work experience, particularly when you are just starting out in the world of work.

Lots of people think about a career change but don't actually go through with it, not because they don't want to but because they don't think they can. Help is at hand. On average people change careers 5 - 7 times during their lifetime. That is career not just job.
