The RSC General Assembly functions as an advisory body to Council. Its role is to advise on the strategy, policy and activities of the RSC, enabling the views of members to be represented, and to facilitate communication and coherence within governance and the chemical science community.
The RSC General Assembly comprises Council Members and representatives of the Local Sections and the Interest Groups. Representatives of some committees and other groupings may also be involved.
